Booking Conditions

  1. CONTRACT – The Contract for a short term holiday rental shall be between the client and Coast & Country, the contract will be entered into when Coast & Country issues the confirmation form and will be subject to all the following booking conditions.
  2. PAYMENT – A deposit of 25% of the rental fee is payable if the booking is made more than 8 weeks before the start of the rental. The balance shall be payable 8 weeks before the commencement of the rental. Non-payment of the balance of the rent on or before the due date shall be construed as a cancellation of the contract by the Client. For bookings made less than 8 weeks before the commencement of the rental the total fee is payable on sending the Booking Form. For bookings made less than 2 weeks before the commencement of the rental, no cheques can be accepted. Payments should be by BACS to   R.A.S. & J.M. Cowley  Coast and Country
  3. CANCELLATION – Any cancellation made by the client for whatever reason shall be in writing and addressed to Coast & Country at the address at the top of the Booking Form. On receipt of notice of cancellation, Coast & Country will seek to re-let the property for the period of booking. If Coast & Country succeeds in re-letting the property for the whole period it shall refund all the monies paid, less an administrative charge of £50 per week or part week booked. If Coast & Country only succeeds in re-letting the property for part of the period booked it shall refund an amount equal to the money paid less (1) the rental for the period which is not re-let and (2) an administrative charge of £50 per week or part week booked. If Coast & Country is unable to re-let the property at all then all monies paid by the Client shall be forfeit to Coast & Country.
  4. VAT – VAT is included in the rental fee where applicable.
  5. PERIOD OF HIRE – Rentals commence, unless by arrangement, at 5:00pm on the day of the arrival and terminate at 9.00am on the day of departure. A late entry fee of £30 is payable for entry after 10pm; late departure may incur further charges of £50 per hour.
  6. NUMBER OF PERSONS USING THE PROPERTY – The number of persons occupying a property must not exceed the maximum number stipulated in the brochure. Coast & Country reserves the right to refuse entry to the entire party if this condition is not observed. If additional guests are added to the agreed party after the confirmation is issued, Coast and Country reserves the right to make an extra charge.
  7. Full names of all persons occupying the property for the duration of the hire must be notified on booking.
  8. COMPLAINTS – Should there be any cause for serious complaint during the occupation of the property it must be notified immediately to Coast & Country and in case of serious problems, confirmed in writing.
  9. BREAKAGES OR DAMAGE – For groups up to 4, a Security Deposit of £100 is payable by BACS 7 days before arrival, returnable by BACS within 7 days of leaving the property in good order as found. The Client is legally bound to reimburse Coast & Country for replacement, repair or extra cleaning costs on demand. Large parties of 4+ or single sex groups are charged £200 Security Deposit.
  10. CARE OF THE PROPERTY – The Client shall take all reasonable and proper care of the property and its furniture, pictures, fittings and effects in or on the property and leave them in the same state of repair and condition at the end of the rental period as at the beginning.
  11. PETS – One well behaved pet only. Pets are not to be allowed into bedrooms or onto any furniture. Clients are responsible for supply of a pet bed and the removal of all fouling from the grounds.
  12. PETS – are not to be left unattended in properties at any time and must not be let loose in the grounds.
  13. LIABILITY – Coast & Country, its employees and agents shall not be under any liability to the Clients or third parties for any loss or damage arising from breach of contract, negligence, misrepresentation or otherwise.
  14. WARRANTIES – Coast & Country does not warrant and is not responsible for the accuracy of any verbal information given or statements made by its servants or agents.
  15. RIGHT OF ENTRY – Coast & Country shall be allowed the right of entry to the property at all reasonable times for purposes of inspection or to carry out any necessary repairs or maintenance.
  16. NON-SMOKING – Please note that these are non-smoking properties for the benefit of all. Visitors smoking in our properties will be liable for the cost of professional cleaning of curtains, soft furnishings and carpets in rooms affected.
  17. ABUSIVE BEHAVIOUR – Coast and Country reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone behaving abusively or in a threatening manner towards their employees or associates.
  18. All visitors must confirm that they are following appropriate Government Covid19 protocols, and Coast & Country’s Covid19 Protocols, sent following enquiries, and displayed in properties.
